Planning is the first step with any major change we make to our land. The advice and guidance of arborists are invaluable and simplify the planning process. Site conditions affect plant growth and may limit which species are viable candidates for selection. Whether it's landscaping or we're planting multiple trees, a planning consultation with an arborist is the first step. We'll gather data on the soil and water source conditions and assess for any potential pest issues that may affect the planted species. We'll discuss goals for the landscape or grove and different ways we can achieve the goal with different plant/tree species. The overall budget is important because it lets us know what options we have for planting as it gives us a picture of how the tree will be cared for as it grows.
